Why do phones have to vibrate so loudly??

So today in my psychology class I had four phone calls and three texts….all within a twenty-five minute span. Unfortunately for me I sit right in the front where my professor can hear all this going on. It’s one thing when you sit in the back of a crowded classroom, but when you sit in the front of a small-sized class it is definitely noticeable (and it doesn’t help that when my phone vibrates it’s REALLY loud) . My professor didn’t say anything, but she kind of gave me this evil glare.

Usually I don’t turn off my phone, I just put it on vibrate because usually nobody calls me while I’m in class, and if I get anything it’s a text because they know I’m in class…I think that from now on I might actually turn my phone off.
